With just two weeks until the Great Women’s 10K, possibly Scotland's most iconic race, event organisers were blazing a 'call to arms' across Glasgow last night. An innovative marketing campaign saw the Science Centre, the Clyde Auditorium aka the Armadillo (pictured), the Riverside Museum and Kelvingrove Art Gallery lit up in spectacular fashion.
With over 6,000 women of all abilities set to take part, the Great Women’s 10K will once again be brightening the streets of Scotland's largest city with its own inimitable brand of colour, excitement and poignancy. Added interest for 2016 comes in the shape of a new 'north of the river route'.
It's still possible to be part of this unique demonstration of 'girl power' with entries still open for the big event on Sunday 5 June. Details at the Great Women’s 10K website.
