Ten Mile Route Returns For 2015

Great Edinburgh Run

Following the successful introduction of a 10-mile race at this year’s Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, organiser Nova has announced that the distance will return for the 2015 event. Previously a 10k, the 10-mile route proved popular with runners this year, starting and finishing in Holyrood Park.

Great Britain International athletes Chris Thompson and Gemma Steel were victorious at the 2014 race, described as one of the most beautiful city centre runs in the world. The route features several historic monuments such as Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument and the Scottish National Art Gallery.

The only city centre-based running in event, the Great Edinburgh Run will be staged on Sunday 19 April in 2015, with the programme also featuring junior and mini runs.

Entries for the 2015 Great Edinburgh Run will open on June 9. For more information, go to the event website.
