Frighteningly Fun Runs

Runners at the Stroke Association's Halloween Howler 5k fun run

As Halloween fast approaches, runners in Glasgow and Edinburgh are being asked to don their scariest outfits for the Stroke Association's Halloween Howler 5k fun runs. The spooky events will take place at Strathclyde Country Park on Sunday 28 October and at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on Sunday 4 November.

Both events are open to runners of all ages and abilities, and participants are encouraged to run in fancy dress with a prize for best costume. You can walk, jog or run the route, the most important thing is to have fun.

Registration costs £10 for adults, £5 for children under 16 and £25 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children). There is no minimum sponsorship set so participants are being asked to simply raise what they can. All money raised will go towards the Stroke Association's work supporting stroke survivors in Scotland.

For more information and to register for either event visit the Stroke Association website, or contact Kirsty Scott on 0131 555 7425, or by email at hallloween@stroke.org.uk.
