Final Fling For Kilted Run

Perth Kilt Run

Organisers of the Perth Kilt Run are providing a final opportunity for runners to take part in Saturday's event by allowing a number of on the day registrations between 9am and 12pm. The 5 mile run has been coordinated with the hope of shattering Ontario's Guinness world record of 1,276 kilted runners.

Information on the event's facebook page indicate the Perth Kilt Run is close to superseding its Canadian counterparts. Spokesperson for the event, Tricia Fox, told scottishrunningguide.com: "We're 96 runners short of stealing Canada's record and setting a new world record but we're certain that with on the day support we'll easily smash the record."

Tricia continued: "We have 200 places available on a 'first come first served' basis when registration opens on Saturday in Perth Concert Hall and we'd warmly invite any kilted runner to participate."

The 5 mile run will see participants cover Perth's North and South Inches alongside the River Tay and takes place on Saturday (June 2) at Perth Concert Hall and Theatre. Registration is on a first come, first served basis between 9am and 12pm.
