Runners in Edinburgh (and those beyond willing to travel) have a couple of autumn treats in store. Popular city retailer Run and Become has scheduled two 'free to attend' in-store evenings and has issued an invitation to the local running community.
The double header starts on Wednesday 2 October and is an event for woman runners with an informative evening on the science and fitting of a sports bra.
80% of women are wearing the wrong sized sports bra. By finding your correct fit you can increase your running performance and reduce breast pain and breast movement related injuries.
The team at the store told runABC Scotland: ""The girls at Run and Become all agree, after your shoes, a sports bra is the next most important piece of kit you will wear. As is the case with shoes you should take the time to get properly fitted. Often most runners don't do this because they're in a rush but a good fitting is worth the time and effort. Our experience is, these evenings give an opportunity, in a relaxed setting to get properly fitted.”

Later in the month (Wednesday 23 October) Run and Become has a trail running themed evening with Montane and Debbie Martin-Consani (pictured).
With so many runners now heading for the trails, and more and more events appearing in the calendar, there is a desire to find out more information. Whether you're planning your first short trail race, want to glean information on some new kit or would just like to come and hear Debbie Consani talk about her many amazing experiences, the evening will have something for everyone.
Debbie is the current Scottish 100 mile record holder and has represented GB in international 24hour championships. She is also an accomplished trail runner with victories at the Lakeland 100 plus North and South Downs Way 100 mile events.
