Edinburgh Marathon Festival is now offering running tours around Scotland’s capital city. Edinburgh Marathon Festival Running Tours will delve into the history, characters and scenery of Auld Reekie, with highly experienced guides leading you through the narrow streets and hidden areas you might not get to see otherwise.
The tours offer a gentle jog through the city, allowing you to see more than you would on a walking tour. The tour starts at the entrance to the Scottish Parliament building in the picturesque setting of Holyrood Park. The first kilometre will take you up to Calton Hill from where you will get a great overview of the city. The rest of the tour will take you through parts of the Old and New Town of Edinburgh before you finish up at the Historic Scotland Education Centre. There will be stopping points along the way to take in the sights and hear about Edinburgh’s history from your tour guide.
The tour costs £27.50, which covers the 7km running tour around Edinburgh with a trained and knowledgeable running guide; a high quality technical running T-shirt, a souvenir photograph of Edinburgh; and lots of other EMF goodies.
