Many of us will begin 2018 by setting goals for the year ahead – why not add a marathon with great PB potential to that list? Edinburgh Marathon (27 May) is one of the biggest and best the UK has to offer - standard entries, which are set to sell out for the 10th successive year close at midnight on Sunday 7 January.
The flat and fast course makes Edinburgh perfect for a PB or as your first marathon. That, teamed with picturesque views and friendly Scottish support, makes Edinburgh a great marathon choice.
This year the marathon will have a new route, starting in Potterrow and taking in sights such as the Scott Monument, Princes Street Gardens and the Scottish Parliament - runners will cross the finish line in Musselburgh.
