The Run Or Dye series arrives in Scotland this year with events in Perth, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. The 5k runs are said to have been inspired by the ancient Hindu festival of Holi, also known as the ‘Festival of Colours.’
The date and location for the Glasgow event have still to be confirmed. The Perth event will take place at Scone Palace on 18 July, with the Edinburgh run held in the city's Hopetoun House on 18 October.
Participants are encouraged to run, jog or walk to the finish line, getting covered head-to-toe in colour as they go. Four dye zones throughout the route will ensure there’s no getting away from the all-encompassing and full-on brilliance for what is billed as the ‘most colourful 5k in the world'.
Runners can run dressed in white or in their favourite and most extravagant costumes. As part of registration all participants will receive a goody bag with their white t-shirt, plus their very own dye packs. After crossing the finish line, runners, and spectators, can celebrate in the world famous Dye Festival as the full force of the brilliant colours are blasted all around.
