Runners came out to support Diabetes UK (and other charities) at the DB12 6 & 12K held in Strathclyde Park last night. For the first time mini runners could also be part of the action at the inaugural Toddler Dash and this runABC reporter was there as part of a two-person support team for 3-year-old Seb.
He didn’t quite live up to his namesake, Lord Coe, but did manage a final sprint to the finish line and was delighted with his Peppa Pig medal and toy fire engine!
Organiser Chris Gray has already been behind several other events this year and in doing so has raised some £5000 for Diabetes UK, DUK1T and Seamab (a children’s charity). He has plans for a further event in December – the Blue Santa Run which will also be held at Strathclyde Park, runABC will post details when they become available.
