One month from today (16 November) will see the East Lothian town of Dunbar host Cani-Sports Edinburgh’s annual race event. The race includes a number of categories for adults and children, with lots of doggie fun and stalls, from 10am.
Alison Wyllie, CSE chairperson says: “The race marks a special milestone for Cani-Sports Edinburgh, being our first race as Scotland’s first official Canicross Club, and also for the sport as a whole which has grown massively over the past two years and we know this will show in the atmosphere on race day.”
The event is not just for experienced canicrossers as organisers recommend those taking part in the racing should have done canicross before, but if you’ve yet to try it there is still time before the race to find your nearest group and give it a go. They also encourage dog lovers from all walks to come along, spectate and browse the stalls, which will be open on the day. Racers will be competing for great prizes, including finishers medals, so no one will go away empty handed.
