The British Heart Foundation’s Winter Warmer returns to Glasgow on Sunday (14 February) following the rescheduling of the event. The 10K/5K was due to take place last November but was cancelled due to flooding.
The event will see people walk, jog or run through Glasgow’s beautiful Pollok Park. The routes are both family and dog friendly and can be tackled individually or in teams. All finishers will receive a meal and thank-you certificate.
Event organiser, Gizem Fowler said: “The Winter Warmer series really is for anyone of any ability. And not only are you helping us raise vital funds, but you'll be benefiting your own heart health too.
"It costs £15 for adults and £5 for children, to cover the costs of organising a safe and professional event. But it's your sponsorship money that will really help to make a difference to the lives of people in Scotland with heart disease; from babies born with a congenital condition, to teenagers learning to live with a heart condition to parents and grandparents who have had a heart attack or are living with heart failure.”
