With the Stockholm marathon celebrating its centenary year this July, Sports Tours International is offering runners the opportunity to represent Great Britain as part of the event's Olympic themed race. Participants who take up the remaining number of guaranteed places will be provided with a complementary full Ronhill running kit - vest, shorts, and socks - in the colour of your chosen country.
The race, set for July 14, will follow an almost identical route to the marathon at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. The route will be as true to the inaugural one as possible, meaning the distance will only be 40.2km as opposed to the now standard 42.2km. There will, however, be an extra loop available for runners who want to make up the distance.
Although online entries for the jubilee marathon are now closed, Sports Tours International is offering guaranteed places, plus the free Ronhill running kit worth £50, for all those registering before the deadline next Saturday (March 31). In addition to the attire, legendary runner Ron Hill will be on hand to offer his advice on running the marathon.
If you are registering as part of a running club, charity or group, entrants will also receive an additional 10% discount. For more information, visit the Sports Tours International website.
