Organisers of the Edinburgh marathon Festival are looking for energetic and hardworking individuals to be part of their Senior Race Crew. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to get into the world of sporting events or looking for a creative, yet challenging, complement to their day job. The Edinburgh Marathon Festival takes place on May 21-22 2011, with marathon, relay, half marathon, 10K and 5K races across the weekend.
Various Senior Race Crew Roles are now open for application: Start Area Supervisor, Finish Area Supervisor, Start Area Set Up Supervisor, Finish Area Set Up Supervisor, Race Course Set Up Supervisor and Race Logistics Supervisor. Each role varies with the level of commitment and responsibility.
Succesful candidates will contribute to and deliver the management plans for each race, attend monthly meetings and will need to supervise and manage race crew on the day. Ideal applicants will: be able to demonstrate good planning and organisation skills, have effective communication and interpersonal skills, be hardworking and energetic, hold a Driver's Licence and be available over all race weekends.
Each role will receive payment in the region of £200, with a £100 clothing allowance of Asics Running Kit. Supervisors will also be provided with certified first aid training.
