Following the success of the two pilot events in 2017 and 2018 Cannonball Events are proud to bring you what is set to be one of the biggest events in Scotland.

The Go Festival Ayr Half Marathon on Saturday 7 September will be Ayrshire's first mass participation half marathon event. The route is steeped in Scottish history with a course design intended to offer good opportunities for fast times and PBs with only 131 metres of climb.

All races start from the Low Green on the seafront, with the Isle of Arran as a backdrop. The half marathon route takes in the Burns Cottage, birthplace of the national bard, and the Brig ‘o Doon house and famous bridge plus Greenan Castle and much more.

These events are more than just running events; they are experiences, memory forming runs. You will leave feeling that you have been part of a unique event in one of Scotland's most famous coastal towns.

There is also an air flying display, beach firework display, fun fair, stalls and shops, pipe band, DJs and much much more. So a real festival occasion on race day.

The late afternoon and early evening start time presents a great opportunity for overnight stays, meals out and easy travelling to and from the race venue. Organisers believe the event is a perfect mini break destination.
