Jogscotland has announced that tickets for their 2019 Jog Leader Conference are now on sale.
The annual event will take place on Saturday, 2 November, at Altens Hotel in Aberdeen. Those attending the Conference will have a chance to take part in a selection of workshops – and, most importanty, get the opportunity to meet and speak with jog leaders from across Scotland.
Jog leaders will also benefit from the knowledge and experience of the invited speakers. Special guest at this year’s Conference will be mountain runner and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Robbie Simpson.
Fresh from winning the Jungfrau Marathon for a third time, Simpson will be speaking about the importance of goal setting, and the role of the coach in achieving them.
Further details of the day are yet to be confirmed, but jogscotland’s partners DW Fitness First and SAMH will also be making an appearance.
Participants at last year’s Conference, which had a special theme of mental health, praised the event. One jogleader called the Conference, held at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, “a fabulous and inspiring day with some really relevant content".
Another singled out the presenters, saying that "everyone who spoke… were great, engaging and enthusiastic!”
The 2019 jog leader Conference will run from 0900–3.30pm and includes lunch. The cost is £10 and bookings can be made online.
