Running The Capital

Calton Hill

After taking part in the Rockin' Running Tour of Memphis, Tennessee, Lucja Leonard was inspired to start a running tour in her new home of Edinburgh. Edinburgh Running Tours offers personalised routes of the city, customised to suit the time of day, distance and the sights you want to see.

Lucja spoke about her experience in Memphis: "What I found great about taking part in a running tour in another city was you quickly take in a lot of the sites in one hit, get a locals perspective on the city including some insider tips for the best ribs as might be the case in Memphis and get my daily run in at the same time. Win:Win!"

Lucja added: "I love running and I love Edinburgh. So let me share this love with you by taking you on a tour through or around our stunning city on foot, combining some sightseeing with the enjoyment of running at a pace that you set.  Whether it’s your first time visiting or you are a regular visitor to Edinburgh, you’ll find that a running tour can not only keep you active during your trip, but allow you to see things from a different perspective. I know, as a runner, that you always take your trainers with you to squeeze in a quickie when you can, but you’re not always sure about the best route to see the most of a city, this is where I come in."

Runners of all levels are welcome, with Lucja able to design tours from 3 to 30 miles. You can set the pace and there is time along way for taking photos as well.
