The Ovarian Cancer Walk|Run Scotland
There's a great chance to give a little back at the end of September in Edinburgh by running or walking 5K or 10K at the iconic Holyrood Park.
The Ovarian Cancer Walk|Run in Holyrood Park on Saturday 29 September is your chance to raise awareness, fund research and save lives, and to help improve the lives of more than 25,000 women across the U.K. who are living with ovarian cancer. 11 women die every day from ovarian cancer and ovarian cancer faces chronic underfunding compared to other cancers.
You can bring the kids with a registration fee of £12.50 for adults and £5 for children or you can make a day of it, bring a group of friends together and enter as a team. For teams of five or more, the fifth member goes free.
The events start at 11.00am and all ages and abilities are more than welcome with fully accessible routes and no steps. You'll get a free T-shirt, medal and bottle of water and all you have to do is raise a minimum of £100 per adult.
It's sure to be a fun day out and together we can make sure that women have the best chance of survival.
If you can't make it to Edinburgh, you can still help by choosing your own location - find out more at our Do your own The Ovarian Cancer Walk|Run page.
