Join team MND Scotland at the Great Scottish Run and help support people in Scotland affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND) – a rapidly progressing terminal illness.
MND Scotland is the leading charity in Scotland providing care and support to people affected by MND, as well as funding vital research into finding a cure.
MND stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles, which may cause someone to lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink or breathe unaided. There is currently no cure or effective treatment for MND and the average life expectancy from diagnosis is just 20 months.
Whether you’re taking on the half marathon or the 10K at Great Scottish Run on Sunday, 29 September, you're bound to have a memorable day running through the streets of Scotland's biggest city with thousands of other runners!
When you register, simply let the charity know you are planning to raise funds for MND Scotland by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 0141 332 3903.
All MND Scotland runners will receive:
- A free technical running vest or t-shirt
- A fundraising pack with sponsor forms
- Fundraising support and advice from our team
So join us in our fightback against MND and help us take a step closer to finding a cure.
