Tour of Clydeside Canal Bank 8K

The Canal Bank 8k race is held on the footpath of the Forth & Clyde Canal at Clydebank. The course is off road and is an out and back course on the south side of the canal. It is nearly flat and is traffic free.

The race forms the fourth event in the week-long Tour of Clydeside and can be entered as a single event or as part of the Tour. Entry fee: £6 (SAL) and £8 (non-SAL). Tour of Clydeside entry is £25/35.

Start time: 7.30pm

Number collection is from 7pm at the Whitecrook Street.

The route: the course comprises an out and back route along the southern side of the canal with a turn before reaching Temple. It is traffic free and comprises a mix of hardcore and tarmac paths. With minimal ascent and descent over the locks, this is a fast course.
