Spike Island Treasure Run 1.6K

Everyone is welcome to join the Spike Island running family this year. The event is now into its second year and supports our local primary school - West Barns Primary School with funds raised. This event was created from the enthusiasm 2016's golden mile initiative & culminated in Spike Island 2016.
Four exciting runs spread across the day aimed at slightly different abilities.
The runs navigate their way through the surrounding farmland to the mouth of the Tyne Estuary and terrain varies from sandy paths to forest tracks. The runs are clearly marked and marshalled off road routes for everyone to enjoy. Back at the stables you can enjoy home baking & hot/cold drinks.
A record 250 runners took part last year and it was a fantastic day. Congratulations to all pirates, young and old! We hope to inspire more of you to get involved in running, at whatever level. We'll see you there!
