Rock 'n' Roll Liverpool Marathon & Half Marathon

The 4th annual Rock 'n' Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon will welcome runners on 27th – 28th May 2017. Event weekend kicks off with the RunFit Expo at The ACC Liverpool on Friday 26th May and Saturday 27th May.

The marathon and half marathon will start and finish by the Albert Dock, one of the most visited attractions in the UK and a World Heritage Site. The races features scenic views of Liverpool’s stunning docks, rich architecture, spectacular museums and historic commercial districts. After the finish you’ll be awarded a massive marathon medal and receive assorted refreshments and the Official Technical Race Tee. Then it’s off to the beer garden for a free pint and to enjoy the Concert!

Runners of all abilities can experience Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool and be a part of the weekend’s festivities by taking part in a 5K on Saturday. The race starts along the riverfront, takes in Liverpool’s vibrant city centre and finishes inside Echo Arena. Runners are welcomed in with strobe lights, a DJ and medal that glows in the dark. And there’s more… Those who participate in the 5K and either the marathon or half marathon on Sunday will complete the Remix Challenge and earn a bonus third medal. In its first year, the 5K was given the Running Award for the Best Fun Run in the UK.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon is known for putting local bands and live entertainment along the course to encourage runners as they make their way to the finish line. The musically themed race concludes with a finish festival and headline concert outside of Echo Arena to celebrate the day’s achievements.
