Methlick 5K & 10K Fun Run
Do a TENNER for the kids in Kenya!!
Our run is to raise funds for New Life Homes in Kenya who run several centres where they provide care and support for abandoned babies. Two of my friends left Methlick some years ago to run the Nairobi centre.
The run is all off road and passes through Polesburn Wood beside the Ythan river along mainly woodland/farm track with one short, but steepish climb.
There is a water station on route, which the 10km runner passes twice on the run. We have a ~5km run for older children and those who don't fancy doing 10km, while primary age children and younger can run laps around the cricket pitch.
Registration per runner is £10 and all monies go direct to New Life Homes.
After the race our legendary tea and cakes are available for all to enjoy.
There is no race website, this is a very informal and low budget event, however if you want to see and find out more about New Life Homes Trust and the work that they do their website is http://www.newlifehometrust.org/
We look forward to welcoming you to Methlick on Saturday 28th April!!
