Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running on 27 September 2015 offers something a bit special. With its striking scenery along the shores of Loch Ness, varied routes, rousing support, exceptional organisation and carnival atmosphere, this race has something for everyone. With over 9000 runners expected in 2015, why not make a Highland weekend of it and come with family or friends? And if marathons aren’t your thing why not enter one of the other races? With the Baxters River Ness 10K, 10K Corporate Challenge, 5K Fun Run and Wee Nessie, there’s a race for all running abilities and ages.

Baxters Loch Ness Marathon
There are great marathons around the world, many of them marked by their settings, and Loch Ness ranks right alongside them. The point-to-point route begins in an atmospheric location and continues through breathtaking scenery, taking you along the shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness, and into the Highland capital of Inverness. Highlights include a pre-race Pasta Party and festival on race day with pipes & drums, live music, kids’ activities, Baxters Food Fayre and renowned Scottish Highland hospitality.

Baxters River Ness 10K
If a full-scale marathon isn’t for you, why not enter the fantastic Baxters River Ness 10K? This flat point-to-point course, with excellent ‘pb’ potential, winds through the historic Highland capital, passing the Castle and along the banks of the picturesque River Ness. If you prefer a team approach to sport, then the 10K Corporate Challenge is the ideal race for you – especially as the route is scenic and flat. Highlights include a pre-race Pasta Party and festival on race day with pipes & drums, live music, kids’ activities, Baxters Food Fayre and renowned Scottish Highland hospitality.

Baxters River Ness 5K Fun Run
Following a flat route along the River Ness, and open to all runners of all ages and abilities, including wheelchair entrants, this race is a rewarding way to take part. Highlights include a pre-race Pasta Party and festival on race day with pipes & drums, live music, kids’ activities, Baxters Food Fayre and renowned Scottish Highland hospitality.
