The songs that encourage faster running times for Runkeeper users have been revealed and the results are surprising. Runners’ speed increased the most during Ricky Martin’s 1999 hit Livin’ La Vida Loca.
The list featured a wide mix of styles with Japanese metal band Babymetal the top artist responsible for increasing runners’ speed.
Erin Gablets from Runkeeper said: “We all have those few songs we stick to towards the end of our running playlists when we know we’ll be in dire need of a boost. Everyone’s got their personal preferences – whether it’s a good EDM song for you or an 80’s power ballad for your mum.”
