Kick-Off Your Festive Fitness Drive

While Christmas chocolates, advent calendars and festive decorations are all beginning to make an appearance in our local supermarkets; preparations are well underway for what has become another festive tradition.  The 7th Annual Festive Training Run returns 3 December and will be run across a variety of distances.

As well as the 10k and half marathon distance there will also be a 5k and 2k option. The half marathon route will take runners from Dumbarton to Anniesland Lock 27 on Crow Road.  The events are not timed as they will be classed as a training run, however, the route will be supported with course marshals and signage.

The event takes place in support of the Funding Neuro and the Festive Training Run’s new charity partner, Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland.

To take part in the event, all we ask is that you make an ‘honesty donation’ of whatever you can afford to the event's fundraising page. All donations will be shared amongst the two charity partners.

After making your donation to the fundraising page, runners should email event organiser Alan Kennedy (surfaceplus@gmail.com) with your preferred distance, emergency contact name and telephone number.
