Get Into The Festive Spirit This Weekend

It’s December and the festive season is well and truly upon us. Time to look out your Santa hat and lace up your trainers to take on some of the best Christmas themed races Scotland has to offer as runABC Scotland takes a look at the pick of the bunch this weekend.

Dundee Santa 5K – Saturday 2 December

What better way to kick-start your December than a 5k run round Camperdown Park? Priced at £10 per entrant, all runners will receive a Santa suit, a medal and a goodie bag.

Edinburgh Christmas 5K & 10K – Sunday 3 December

Join hundreds of jolly runners for the annual Edinburgh Christmas 5K or 10K. The event is great for beginners or seasoned runners, and is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. After the run, the good cheer continues under cover with live entertainment and Christmas goodies at Inverleith Park. All runners receive a medal and a goody bag. The 5k run starts at 9.30am and the 10k run starts at 11am.

jogscotland Christmas Cracker 5K Broadwood Stadium – Sunday 3 December

A fast and almost completely flat course awaits runners on what is sure to be a fun filled occasion for all of the family.  Festive fancy dress is encouraged and all entries into the 5k will receive a Santa Suit, while all children will receive a Santa hat.

Reindeer Dash 2017 – Sunday 3 December

There is still time to get involved in the 2017 Reindeer Dash at Bellahouston Park on Sunday (3 December). This fantastic event will help raise funds for Sense Scotland. Of course, Santa’s reindeer have to keep fit to be able to pull his sleigh with all those toys for girls and boys – so what better way to get into shape than putting on your antlers and taking on the 5K? You’ll be rewarded at the end with a goody bag for all your hard work.
