600 runners from across the UK as well as Finland, France, Sweden, Italy and the USA are preparing to do battle this weekend at the Culloden Run! The event is based at the NTS Culloden Battlefield Centre near Inverness and features a 17.46K as well as a standard 10k.
The 17.46K is a testing challenge over a 10.83 mile route, passing through stunning scenery and by historic landmarks; Culloden battlefield, Clava Cairns, the River Nairn and its awesome viaduct. The 10K features a fast, mostly flat route which passes around the quiet perimeter roads of the battlefield.
The 17.46K champion from 2014, Gordon Lennox, will be back to try and emulate his performance from two years ago. He’ll be joined by 250 runners, with 350 expected to take part in the 10K. All finishers will receive a copy of runABC Scotland.
The Culloden Run 17.46k and the Culloden 10K are devised by leading charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland in partnership with the National Trust for Scotland.
