The Scottish International Airshow is set to host a brand new running festival.
Ayr Running Festival will be held August 26-27 and will feature two races, giving all participants the opportunity to be inspired by the iconic sights of the town.
The race is open to runners of all abilities, from those who are looking to do their very first 10K to charity runners and elite athletes. Runners can go the 1,984 yards alongside family and friends in the iconic ‘Lang Scots Mile’ will be raced for the first time as part of the build-up to the Scottish International Airshow.
On the Sunday there is a new 10K event, promising a fast and flat route taking in beautiful scenery and iconic historic buildings. This presents a real opportunity for PB chasers with just 43 metres of total climb, long straight sections and very few turns.
