Runners from across Scotland and beyond are racing to snap up places in the Dunoon Half Marathon and 10K. The highly popular event returns on 5 August for the third successive year.
The classic, fast and flat half marathon course along the beautiful coastal road and the 10k along the same stunning route both offer real PB potential.
Among those taking part is runABC’s Alex Osborne, who is looking forward to sampling all Dunoon has to offer including the local beauty spots and breathtaking coastal views.
“Having run the race for the last two years, I highly recommend the event. The route is flat, out-and-back to the lighthouse at Toward. It gives great views in each direction along the Firth of Clyde and Dunoon offers the perfect post race wind down – tearooms, cafes, and pubs,” said Alex.
“Dunoon is also one of the cheapest entry fees for a half marathon in Scotland and all just a train and ferry ride from Glasgow.”
Entries for the 2017 Dunoon Half Marathon and 10K start at just £12. More information is available here.
