Desert Fireworks At Footworks

Andrew Murray, the man who ran from Scotland to the Sahara, has written an account of his epic journey in 'Running Beyond Limits'. The book launches next month with a series of special presentations from Andrew at specialist running retailer Footworks.

Following the success of the recent BBC documentary 'The Ultra Marathon Man', there is certain to be considerable interest in the book from Scotland's running community and beyond. Andrew's appearance will be on Saturday, September 17, at the Footworks store in Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh, where he will deliver a short presentation and answer questions about his epic adventures across the globe.

In addition to Scotland to the Sahara, Murray, a qualified doctor practising in Scotland, tackled the world's highest marathon in Mount Everest in 2005 and two years later climbed America's highest summit, the 20,000ft Mount McKinley.

The book will be exclusive to Footworks for a few weeks after the launch and will then be available more widely. With a foreword by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Running Beyond Limits encompasses Murray's challenges across the globe, supplemented with fantastic colour pictures ranging from his adventures in Outer Mongolia to the jungles of Indonesia.

Andrew Murray will give three presentations throughout the day at 10am, 12noon, and 3pm at Footworks and between these times he will be available to answer any questions that the audience and visitors to the store want to ask.
