Mo Running In Scotland

2 AUG2011

Happy Mo runner

Mo Running comes to Scotland in November with the 5K Mo Run scheduled for Glasgow Green on Sunday, November 20. The event is staged as part of the Movember charity campaign that raises awareness of men's health throughout the course of a month.

With competitors encouraged to brandish the best moustache they can muster, 'Mo Running' will be taking place in 7 locations across the British Isles in 2011, including events at London Battersea and Milton Keynes. The inaugural 'Mo Run' was in 2009 at Greenwich Park, London, with more than 1,000 registered competitors.

Since its inception in 2004 in Australia, Movember events have raise awareness of issues surrounding men's health, particularly prostate cancer. The craze quickly hit the UK, with fundraising beginning in 2007.

You can register for the Glasgow date by visiting the event website. Entry is priced at £16.00, with the race beginning at 9.30am.
