Gilroy Lifts Friday Night Prize

Robert Gilroy followed up his second place at the Mens Health Forum Scotland 10K last Sunday with a first place at Friday night's Brian Goodwin 10K. It was a Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers' 1-2-3 with clubmates Jamie Reid and John McNamara joining Robert on the podium. Jacqui Thomson was fastest woman in 38.32. The evening 10K hosted by Bellahouston Harriers attracted a high quality field of mainly club runners - the midpoint run was Suzie Farrell's quick 44:51.

Over at East Kilbride, Kilmarnock Harrier Keith Haining (37:04) led home a field of 136 in the Calderglen Harriers 10K trail race, 7 seconds ahead of Duncan Cochrane. Jill Smylie (Giffnock North AC) was first woman in 42:43.
