Beach Party In Aberdeen

27 MAY2011

Beach 10K logo and details

The North-East is welcoming summer in style with the Running Shop's Beach 10K on Tuesday, June 14 - a race run entirely on Aberdeen beach promenade. This year's event has been made extra special as it supports local charity, the Archie Foundation.

The Archie Foundation is the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital and this year £1 from every entry will go directly towards 'making a difference' for children who are patients of the NHS in Grampian and the islands.

The Beach 10K has a flat course with official timing. It starts at 7.00pm on Aberdeen Promenade opposite the Beach Leisure Centre, Aberdeen. Race numbers will be available to pick up on the night from approx 6.15pm however no entries will be taken on race night.

There will be free post-race food and water, and spot prizes in association with Asics are presented at the finish.

To avoid disappointment book a place for this race with a difference by entering online at the Running Shop website. The closing date for all entries is Friday, June 10 or when the race limit is reached. Race entry is just £7 (£5 for affiliated runners).
