Swift Siblings Shine In Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival was a two day running extravaganza which included two popular junior races at 3k and 1.5k as well as the five senior events. Saturday's 3K junior boys race was won by Edinburgh's Cameron Gilmour in 10:17 while Robyn Connolly (Victoria Park AC) won the girls race in 11:49.
The 1.5 K junior race was won by Andrew Hogg, a 10-year-old from Berwick-on-Tweed, whose twin sister Cara finished runner-up in the girls' event to Sarah Tait, a 10-year-old from Edinburgh. The pair are both members of Gala Harriers and scottishrunningguide.com asked Andrew if the windy conditions had hindered his run. The youngster considered for a moment then answered: "No."
