Good To Run for ACCORD Hospice

On Sunday, May 15 Barshaw Park in Paisley will play host to a 5K Fun Run organised by specialist running retailer good2run and in aid of the town's ACCORD Hospice.

ACCORD Hospice provides specialist palliative care to over 750 patients and family members from the community of Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire each year. In order to provide this care, almost £1.7 million has to be raised from the community.

Fundraising Manager Ken Mathie said: "We are most grateful to our friends at good2run for lending us their expertise by organising this 5K event, we are also very grateful to all of the participants for entering and especially to those who have decided to raise sponsorship through their participation. I am sure this is going to be a most enjoyable event and I am hopeful that it will become an integral part of our calendar each year."

The 5K route takes in approximately three laps around the perimeter of the park and there will also be a 3K route mapped out for those who are under 16, so this is an event that the whole family can be involved in.

Registration is £7.50 on the day or you can collect sponsor forms from good2run in advance of the event and by fundraising you will not be required to pay this registration fee.
