parkrun in Scotland celebrated the Easter weekend with a record turnout of 910 across the three events with Glasgow seeing a bumper attendance of 479. Glasgow parkrun's Richard Leyton described yesterday as a 'perfect storm' of a bank holiday weekend, build up to the Ladies 10k, and great weather.

Giffnock North's teenage flyer Luke Trayner (15:36) broke the tape ahead of Jethro Lennox (15:53) and Adventure Show star Tom Owens (16:04). Russell Whittington, 'fresh' from a marathon PB in London, produced a 5K best of 16:56 to finish 7th. Bellahouston Harrier Suzanne McMahon (one of 29 runners from the club) also produced a PB (19:32) to lift first woman honours.

John Hagemeister (20:16) and Fraser Reid (23:57) both marked their 50th parkruns with PBs. Alan Wilson was the midpoint runner in 26:06 and the final runner came home in 47:22.

At Silverknowes, Lothian RC's Brian Turner (16:07) was quickest of 287. Fiona Rudkin's PB of 18:52 saw her finish first woman. Midpoint runner was Grahame Boyne (24:44) and Ron Connelly performing the back marker duties completed in 42:35.
