Lloydspharmacy Boost For parkrun

It seems that the recent burst of new parkruns is not going to be ending anytime soon following the announcement that the UK-wide 5k free weekly time trial has a new commercial partner - Lloydspharmacy. Last weekend saw the first running of the Sheffield Concord parkrun while Liverpool and Newport (Wales) parkruns launched yesterday. A second Leeds event at Roundhay Park will start soon.
With this new support from Lloydspharmacy expect the creation of more new events this year, especially to serve communities across the UK that cannot afford the costs associated with the start of a parkrun. The first event to benefit from the new funding will be Leamington Spa, conveniently located on the doorstep of the Lloydspharmacy head office. parkrun organisers hope to see many Lloydspharmacy employees getting involved. Poole parkrun will be the next beneficiary of the Lloydspharmacy new event fund.
