parkrun Across The Generations

10 MAR2011

parkrun logo

parkrun in Scotland has been recognised in government circles with news of funding for a themed parkrun on Saturday, March 19 at each of the Scottish events - Pollok Park (Glasgow) Silverknowes (Edinburgh) and Strathclyde Park, to be called Generations Running Together.

The themed parkrun, backed by the Scottish Government, includes an invitation to runners to invite someone from a different generation to run, volunteer or just cheer the runners on as a spectator. A special gift will be provided for each runner or volunteer. The March 19 parkrun will be one of a series of special events in March, highlighting some of the activities Scottish generations are working on together.
