1,000 Runners Wanted

18 FEB2011

Running is often reported as having high rates of injury but there there have been very few long term, prospective studies looking at links between training (type, duration, shoes etc) and injury. Now the University of Bath is planning a major study looking at the training habits and injury rates of distance runners. And they are looking to sign uip 1,000 runners across the UK to assist them in this year long investigation.

The University of Bath wants to recruit this substantial number of distance runners to log their training on an online diary system for a 12 month period. In return the University is offering great running-related prizes, regular email updates and a chance to be part of a study which will provide invaluable information to runners, coaches and health professionals.

If you would like further information and you are over 18 years of age, UK resident and run for more than 3 hours per week go online to the university website.
