Somnio, the maker of the customisable running shoe, has been recognised by a leading international trade fair for sporting goods (ISPO) and named as a finalist in their BrandNew awards category. The ISPO BrandNew awards recognise groundbreaking new design in sports equipment, apparel and accessories.
One of five finalists in the fitness category, which introduces fitness training concepts of the future, Somnio's unique customisable design stood out to a jury of industry experts. Somnio, along with 282 other companies from 28 countries, presented their products for consideration for an ISPO BrandNew award.
Somnio has made a big impression since the brand launched in the UK early last year. There 2011 range includes Exact Change (stability), Runaissance (neutral), Mission Control (motion control), Pacemaker (lightweight), Westridge (trail) and Self Control (cushioned motion control) and are available at a select group of retailers in the UK. Models, are available in gender-specific versions.
Somnio shoes feature an adjustable component system that creates a custom-fit to match each person's unique biomechanics, adapting to (or correcting) the particular alignment, arch and cushioning needs of each persons foot.
