Women Walk, Jog or Run 5k for Cancer Research

29 MAY2009

race for life logo

There's still time to join in with 700,000 women this year who will be walking, jogging or running 5k to raise funds for Cancer Research. Now in its sixteenth year, Race for Life is the UK's largest women-only fundraising event. With races coming up in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow and Stirling there is still time to take part in one this year.

You don't have to be super fit to take part, Race for Life is not a competitive event - it's about women of all ages and fitness levels coming together and raising money to help to beat cancer but we can't guarentee that you won't get the 'running bug'. Whilst a number of events have already taken place in Scotland this year, there are still six Race for Lifes remaining. Events are held throughout June and are spread across the country, so there's bound to be one near you. Race for Life Events Finder.
