Edinburgh Marathon Entries Set To Close

The deadline for getting a place in the Edinburgh Marathon is fast approaching. With only 12,500 standard places up for grabs, places have been snapped up very quickly for the 2011 event.

Places are been filled at over 500 places per week so runners have at most two to three weeks to get their place. The Edinburgh Marathon Festival will take place over the weekend of May 21/22, 2011.

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival in 2011 is set to be an unforgettable experience with 30,000 entrants in 7 races across two days. The event will incorporate a marathon, half marathon, the ever popular Hairy Haggis Team Relay and new for 2011 a 10k, 5k, Junior Race and International Breakfast Run.

After standard entries close charity places will be available with Oxfam (principal charity partner), British Heart Foundation, Breast Cancer Care, Macmillan Cancer Support and hundreds of other affiliated charities in the full marathon.
