Will You Survive In 2011?
1 DEC2010
The Men's Health Survival of the Fittest will rtun in 2011 and entries for next year's events have now opened. With a hugely successful series in 2010, race organisers are hoping to top it in 2011, with races in Cardiff, Nottingham and Edinburgh once more.
Part of the Survival of the Fittest series is the 'Tri-nations Challenge', where they judge which country has the best runners. Organisers ask one runner from the team to run in each race, then work out the percentage of runners who managed to beat him in each event. Scotland won this year's challenge, with 9.6% of the field beating 'the Equaliser' in Edinburgh. Wales came in second with 9.3% beating him and Englandin the rear with 7.6%. The overall series prize in 2010 went to Bruce Raeside, who won all three events in spectacular style.
Runners who want to take part in next year's series can enter now on the event website. Prices are frozen at 2010 rates of £36 until January 1st, so entry would make a great Christmas present for adventurous family and friends.
