Runners in East Kilbride will be hoping the snow stays away this weekend as they make final preparations for the Hugh Wilson Memorial 10K, due to be held in the town tomorrow. The race will be held in association with Hamilton running retailer, ATHelite and will start at 2pm from the John Wright Sports Centre.

The course is flat, fast and traffic free and prizes will awarded to the first three in male and female in the senior and veteran categories, as well as team prizes.

Entries will be taken on the day only, with an entry fee at just £6 for Athletics Scotland members and £8 for non-members. The annual event has been organised by the East Kilbride Athletic Club, who will provide refreshments after the race.
