Make A 'Great' Start To 2011

18 NOV2010

Runners in the Bupa Great Winter Run

The Bupa Great Winter Run is coming to Edinburgh in January and runners across Scotland are being urged to enter the 5k race on Saturday, January 8 and keep their running training going throughout the winter months. Whether heading towards a first race, or just maintaining your running, the Edinburgh course is fantastic to help inspire runners to keep going as the nights get lighter after the turn of the year.

The course takes runners in a loop around Holyrood Park in Edinburgh and, with a 2.5K race for children, it really is a day where the whole family can get involved and start 2011 with a spring in their step. The day is also host to the Bupa Great Edinburgh International Cross Country race, with an array of Olympic and World champions expected to take part. What better way to be inspired?

The Bupa Great Winter Run is now open for entries, priced at £20 per person. The main race will start at midday and the International Cross Country race can be watched afterwards. Entry includes a t-shirt, souvenir finishers medal, chip timing, Powerade, Aqua Pura Water and finishers pack in a race that is sure to have a fantastic atmosphere.
