Be Charmed In The Cairngorms

8 OCT2010

The Cairngorm Charmer takes place tomorrow as competitors compete on foot and two wheels around a 12 mile adventure course in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. The course consists of a two lap relay for teams of two, completing a four mile run, followed by a four mile cycle and finishing, again, with a four mile run.

The race is based in the Cairngorm mountain range, passing through the beautiful Glenmore Forest, along the Allt Mor Trail and around Loch Morlich. The 80 teams that have entered will be looking forward to the race, as current weather predictions are favourable, sunny intervals with a light breeze and highs of 16.

Entries are not available on the day, but runners looking for a piece of the action can enter the Glenlivet 10K in April, run in the Glenlivet Estate and overlooking the secret glen. The Cairngorm Charmer will also be run again next year and both of these events will help continue to support the fantastic work of Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.
