Run 4 It in Jedburgh

8 OCT2010

Runners in the 2009 Jedburgh Running Festival

There is still time for runners in the borders to enter the Run 4 It Jedburgh Half Marathon and 10k races, which will be taking place on Halloween this year, October 31. 2010 will be the 9th running of the popular half marathon, with the 10K making its second appearance after being established 12 months ago.

Both races will start and finish in Jedburgh, following a route to the north east of the town. The 10K will run up the east of the river Jed before turning and running back along the west side of the river, back into Jedburgh. The half marathon route will follow the same basic route, but it will extend further towards Kelso before turning back.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female runners as well as first and second runners in age categories. There will also be spot prizes handed out during the event, with prizes for local runners and the first team of three runners over the line. All finishers will receive a goody bag and medal.

Entries will be accepted for the race until October 27, with a strict runner limit of 1200. Full information is available on the race website.
