Catch The Kilomathon Bug in 2011
7 SEP2010
Entries are now open for the 2011 Kilomathon events in Scotland and Derby, both of which will take place in Spring next year. The 2010 Scotland Kilomathon is due to take place next month, but organisers GSi events are so sure of its success, they have planned the next one for April 17 2011, as a perfect training run leading Scottish runners to the Edinburgh Marathon Festival in May.
As well as the 26.2km Kilomathon, organisers have introduced a new event for the 2011 race, the half kilomathon, covering 13.1km (or 8.15 miles). This opens runners up to another new distance and allows people to take in the atmosphere of the race even if they are not quite ready to take on the full course.
For runners who have not yet signed up for next month's inaugural Scotland Kilomathon, organisers are offering a special discounted entry offer, coinciding with the recent launch of 2011s Edinburgh Marathon Festival. Any runners who have entered one of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival events (marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K or team relay), or one of the 2011 Kilomathons, can enter October's Kilomathon for the bargain price of just £15! Thats over 50% off the original entry price. Be a part of history and sign up now.
