Charity Runners Come To Drymen

27 AUG2010

Tomorrow will see runners take to the streets around Drymen in aid of a good cause as the Blythswood Care Drymen 10K gets underway. Blythswood Care is a Christian charity providing practical help to those in need, such as humanitarian aid, disaster relief and social care projects.

The 10K route will start and finish in the area around Drymen Primary School and runners will be able to enjoy beautiful views over Loch Lomond and the Garadhban Forest ad thecourse winds its way through both roads and surrounding woodland.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three men and women over the line, each receiving Ronhill vouchers courtesy of Paisley's specialist running shop, good2run. All proceeds from the race will go towards helping the charity cover the building costs for a new disability centre planned to start in August in Kerela, run by Sathyam Ministries.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the race this weekend.
