26 AUG2010

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running are fast approaching. The closing date for the main marathon has already passed but competitors have just 19 days left to enter the River Ness 10K, 10K Corporate Challenge and 5K Fun Run, before the closing date on September 13 2010.

The Baxters Loch Ness Festival of Running has become one of the most popular events in the Scottish running calendar, with the Marathon, 10K and 5K races providing something for everyone to enjoy. All three routes enjoy some spectacular scenery. The marathon takes in the southern side of the loch, starting at Fort Augustus and finishing in Inverness. The 10K and 5K races both follow the river ness, finishing with the marathon in Bught Park.

Charity spaces are still available for runners who want take on the marathon, through the nominated or associated charities. Organisers are delighted with the uptake on the race so far, with entries well up on last year's numbers. Don't miss out - enter today!
